Sullivan also became the third Colby golfer to earn ALL-NESCAC First Team hon - ors after finishing in fifth place at the NESCAC Fall Qualifier at Brunswick Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday. Sullivan was in third place after his opening round 73 on Saturday and closed out the tournament with a 79 on Sunday for a 36 hole score of 152. Goeff Sullivan Colby College
“I started taking lessons from Stephen Ventre about two years ago. I had been a single digit handicap player. The loss of distance, due to the aging process, caused me to modify my swing which led to bad results. Stephen has helped me to restore the balance in my swing. This has led to much better ball striking. Stephen is an excellent teacher. He is patient and has the knowledge of a good golf swing and how to get you there. Stephen uses the Track Man System which helps the student to graphically observe his/her golf swing com - pared to the desired results. This is an excel - lent teaching aid. Recently I came within one stroke of shooting my age which I credit to Stephen’s instruction. I recommend him highly as a golf instructor.” Stan Baker Ould Newbury Golf Club "I have been taking lessons from Stephen for the last 2 years and he is by far, hands down, the best golf instructor on the North Shore. If you have a passion for the game you owe it to yourself and your golf game to go and see him as he is one of the best around." Michael Piraino West Peabody, MA
I was a 20 handicap before I came down with a bad case of the shanks. I went from not being able to hit an iron in the air to a couple of my best rounds ever. I shot a 75 and a 79 at Beverly Golf and Tennis. I am now currently a 12 handicap and continue to see Stephen on a regular basis." Dan McGrath Beverly, MA "I worked with Stephen once or twice a week indoors during the winter months. When the good weather came, I imme - diately saw a huge improved in my game. I happen to have two hole-in- ones within a 13 day stretch. I dropped my handicap from a 26 to a 12 by the completion of that season." Gerry Squires Quincy, MA

My daughter started golfing and taking lessons from Stephen Ventre three years ago at the age of 15 years old. Today she is a single digit handicap and has won over 14 tournaments in the last two seasons playing on the New England Junior PGA Tour. She loves the game of golf and plans to pursue working & playing in the golf industry. Abby has a learning disability which limits her opportunities for pursuing golf at a higher education level. Stephen was able to effectively work with my daughter by modifying his teaching methods in a way that she could understand. Stephen has helped my daughter learn the fundamentals of the golf game which has improved her overall score. Stephen has improved her short game as well as developing an awesome overall golf swing. Stephen has also included recommendations on physical conditioning which includes overall flexibility and core strengthening to improve her overall performance. We credit my daughter’s success to a combination of her dedication and training from Stephen. I would highly recommend Stephen to anyone seeking to improve their golf game at any level.” Al Taney - The Meadows at Peabody 12/2016
"Our son, Aidan, started working with Stephen before entering high school and because of what he learned and the confidence he gained, he tried out and made his high school varsity golf team as a freshman. Aidan ended his freshman season as the number 7 golfer on his team. Aidan continued working with Stephen and ended his sophomore golf season as the number 2 golfer, was elected team MVP, and captain of the golf team for his upcoming junior year! Not only did Aidan's skills improve but he is a much more confident golfer with a better attitude. Stephen has taken the time to get to know Aidan and is a mentor and friend to him along with being his coach." Kevin & Silia Kelly - Lynnfield 12/2016
Stephen, You have helped me tremendously with my game. My drives are 20 yards longer. I have chipped in numerous times and my short game is really helping my score. I have not broken 80 yet but have had scores ranging from 80 (twice) to 85 in that range. I have taken lessons from various PGA professionals but you are the only one that has made a difference in my game. Thanks you and I am sure I will be back for more lessons. James Capomaccio 8/2016
I started working with coach Stephen in the winter of 2018. When I first started working with him, I was around an 8-10 handicap from the reds. I was barely hitting the golf ball 200 yards off the tee. After working with Stephen for just 2 years, I’ve dropped to a 0.7 handicap from the tips and am now hitting it 300+ yards off the tee. I've also won the New England Junior PGA player of the year award twice and over 40+ junior tournaments. In addition to this, I have also competed in the IMG Junior Worlds and Optimist Junior Worlds representing Team USA. I was shooting high 90’s from the red/yellow tees and after just two years with Coach Stephen, I posted multiple tournament scores under par from the tips this summer. Coach Stephen puts the golf swing into perspective for me and with just one swing, he can diagnose the problem and fix it. He has dramatically improved my golf swing and my mental approach to the game. He is not only a great swing coach but also a great mental coach and a better friend. He supports you through everything and is always there for you when you have questions. I credit my success to a combination of my hard work, my family, and Coach Stephen. He is not only the best coach but also the best mentor around the New England area for golf. - Ryan Chang - 4/2021

“I have been taking lessons from Stephen since the summer of 2011. My average score has improved from the mid to high 80’s to the mid to low 70’s. I recently finished my junior golf season in the top spot for the Lynn English Golf Team. While training with Stephen I have won a Junior Club Championship at Gannon Golf Course in 2012 and I also a won on the Junior New England PGA Tour at Renaissance GC in 2013. All of the credit goes to Stephen for the immense changes in my game and he has been such a huge influence for me on and off the golf course.” Matt Sencabaugh Lynn English High School
